With a disappointing 2009 season becoming a distant memory the Towers board has focused it’s energy on improving the team for the coming season and on replacing popular head coach Anders Munch.
Munch resigned from the Towers by the conclusion of the 2009 season, after three successful years, due to job obligations in his non-football career. He will be replaced by American William H. Miller.
Miller was signed by the Towers just before Christmas and has extensive experience a both a player and a coach from collegiate football in the US as well as in Europe. Most recently coach Miller spent a very successful season with the Eidsvoll 1814’s in Norway – a season that culminated with a berth in the EFAF finals.
Overall coach Miller has 10 years of coaching experience and a 17-3 record as a head coach. Coach Miller will be leading the towers coaching staff. A staff that at present consists of 6 coaches.
Furthermore the Towers offense will be run by American QB John Artozqui (seen on the picture), who was a four year starter at Doane College, Nebraska. Artozqui – known as J.R. – is an accurate passer and scrambler, who also played safety in his high school days.
Club president Martin Ægidius says: 2010 looks to be a great year for the Towers franchise. With the addition of both coach Miler and J.R, Towers senior elite team is ready for the new season.
