Allan Riis (1998 - 2000)
  Towers history

1998: Elected president
2000: Elected vice-president

Allan Riis became involved with the Towers when his son Peter began playing for the junior team. He was present when the club was founded on August 20th, 1990.

Allan stepped down from the board in 1995, but rejoined as a regular member of the board in 1997, which lead to his election as president in 1998.

Allan presided over the Towers during some of the club's tough years. He was a fixture on the board despite the difficult circumstances the club faced, such as seeing the team being relegated to Div. I. For much of this time as president the board essentially consisted of only himself and player Ole Toft.

Allan left the board in 2002 and has been out of football since.

Allan lives in Jægersborg, north of Copenhagen, with his wife.

Retired jersey numbers
#19 QB Michael Boed

(Boed (left) with President Pedersen at retirement ceremony)

(Michael Boed scrambling with the football)

Jersey retired June 24th 2001 (4 years after last game played).

Michael Boed played 105 games for the Towers and never missed a single game.

Boed began playing football as an exchange student in the U.S in 1983. When the first football teams were founded in Denmark in 1987 Boed joined the Copenhagen Vikings. He remained with the Vikings until the team folded in 1990. He then joined the Towers in 1990 and stayed here until he finished his playing career in 1997.

As a QB Boed holds several Mermaid Bowl records:

TD passes in one game (MB IV) - 8
Completion percentage in one game (MB V) - 72%
Career TD passes - 15 (MB IV 8, MB V 4, MB VI 3)

Being a true team player Boed finished his career as a WR and a FS since the Towers brought in QB Kip Keeso from the U.S in 1995 and 1996..

Boed was an extremely versatile player as evidenced by the MVP awards he received towards the end of his career:

MVP Offense 1995 (WR)
MVP Defense 1996 (FS)

Throughout his career Boed was known to be a great motivator and a leader by example. He was deeply involved in playbook design under several head coaches

Boed briefly returned to the Towers when he agreed to serve as the Offensive Coordinator under Coach Corneliussen during the 2003 season.
